There is nothing more tragic than a perfectly fine plate of nachos tumbling to the ground at a baseball game.

Well that's just what happened Monday night as one St. Louis cardinals fan attended his team's game against the Chicago cubs.

Cubs shortstop, Addison Russell, lunged headfirst into the stands while trying to chase down a foul ball, which caused a whole lot of mess on the field.

You can see the look of despair on the nachos' former owner Andrew Gudermuth.

However, this woeful story has a happy ending.

During a game break, Russell managed to pay Gudermuth back by hand delivering a new plate of nachos and posing for a selfie with the hungry dude.

There's just the slightest bit of shade here, where Gudermuth claims that the dropped nachos were loaded while the ones Russell brought him were plain. But, he still showed gratitude and called the whole thing "unforgettable." So, that's nice.

Who knew nachos could help bring players and fans together so easily?
