One of the rumored features headed to the iPhone 7 is wireless charging. But if you have an iPhone 6/6S or iPhone 6 Plus/6S Plus, you don’t have to wait, thanks to a new charging case from Mophie.

Dubbed the Juice Pack Wireless, the new cases from Mophie bring wireless charging to the classic Mophie ecosystem.

The case – which is the same size as the standard Juice Pack (Mophie’s thinnest case ever) – adds another 50% of battery life and supports wireless charging. The iPhone 6/6S version sells for $100, which includes a charging base. The case for the iPhone 6 Plus/6S Plus is $129.

Not content with just offering charging cases, Mophie is also selling a dock for the desk and a vent mount for the car. The pads use magnets to help keep your phone safely and securely connected, either vertically or horizontally. This is especially useful in a car, where you literally just have to touch your encased phone to the vent mount to charge wirelessly and keep your phone secure.

The desk mount and vent mount each sell for $59.99. These mounts also work with Mophie’s existing wireless cases for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.

Wireless charging has been around for a long time. The Palm Pre supported wireless charging – but it’s only been in the past year or so that we’ve seen wider adoption. Restaurant chains such as McDonald’s and Starbucks support wireless charging, and more phones (including Samsung’s Galaxy S7/Galaxy S7 Edge) support it too.

The cases support both Qi and PMA (Power Matters Alliance) charging standards -- so you can use this at Powermat and Qi charging pads. The Mophie pads themselves adhere to the Qi standar.

Mophie told us that although customers have been asking for wireless charging for quite some time, it was important to wait for the larger market forces to be ready. And now they are.

Going forward, Mophie products will be “Charge Force” enabled.

You can order the Juice Pack Wireless from Mophie.com, BestBuy.com and buy it in Best Buy retail stores now. Apple.com and Apple retail stores will start carrying the Juice Pack Wireless next week.
