The most powerful companies in Silicon Valley could apparently learn a thing or two from Bob Bechek.

Who is Bob Bechek, you ask? Only the most beloved CEO in America.

Bechek, the worldwide managing director of Bain & Company, a management consultant firm, ranked as the top-rated CEO of a large company in the U.S., according to a new list from Glassdoor, a job site that collects anonymous employees' reviews.

Bechek, who took charge of Bain in 2012, earned a 99% approval rating from employees on the site, beating out better known tech CEOs like Google's Larry Page and LinkedIn's Jeff Weiner, who topped the rankings in previous years.

One current employee at Bain praised the management for empowering staff. "[They] are going to knock down barriers for you, connect you where you need to be connected, guide, support, direct and re-direct you," the employee wrote in an anonymous review.

Part of Bechek's approval internally may be chalked up to him having worked at Bain for nearly 30 years, and part of it may come down to knowing how best to exercise his power and motivate staff.

“I think the reality of power and influence and getting things done is overwhelmingly about informal authority nowadays,” Bechek said in one interview earlier this year. "If you’re involved in trying to get people galvanized around a particular course of action – or to feel inspired about what we’re trying to do or feel appreciated, motivated and valued – that has almost nothing to do with formal authority.”

While Bechek took the top spot away from the tech industry, much of the top 10 was still made up Silicon Valley executives.

Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO and founder of Facebook, ranked as the fourth most beloved CEO of a large company, after a powerful year of initiating a massive philanthropic effort, publicly taking and promoting paternity leave and steering Facebook to record sales.

The chief executives of LinkedIn, Google, Apple and Salesforce all ranked in the top 10 as well.
