Childhood continues to die: The 'Mrs. Doubtfire' house is now on sale
It's a tough time for Hollywood real estate. Following the announced sales of multiple houses from Harry Potter and a house that got too full, the San Francisco home from Mrs. Doubtfire is now on the market.
The Hillard family home at 2640 Steiner St. is estimated at a value of $4.45 million, according to SFGate. The 1993 film followed a family coping with their parents' divorce (Robin Williams and Sally Field) until the father disguises himself as a housekeeper to see his children.
After Williams took his own life in 2014, fans of the film and his other work turned the house into a memorial site with flowers, candles and messages to the actor and his family.
