Do you long for a simpler time, when life was easy and MTV actually aired music videos?

Let's be real. MTV rarely aired music videos outside of the '80s. But the MTV programming from the '90s and early '00s was just better.

If you're from a certain age group that agrees with me, you're also probably the demographic for MTV's new network: MTV Classic, which will be replacing VH1 Classic starting Aug. 1. (VH1 Classic fans have probably moved on to watching Judge Judy and The Price is Right, anyway.)

MTV Classic will have several different blocks of programming ready for its launch next week. From Monday to Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 1 a.m., it will air shows like Daria, Beavis and Butt-head, Aeon Flux, Run’s House, Pimp My Ride, Cribs, Jackass, Punk’d, Wonder Showzen and Clone High.

Fridays will have day-long music blocks, including MTV Unplugged and Storytellers, as well as other musical performances. To encourage people to get their binge on over the weekend, Classics will air full seasons of The Real World, Road Rules and Laguna Beach.

To kick things off Monday at 12 p.m., MTV Classics will air "MTV Hour One," the first hour of MTV programming that aired 35 years ago to the day on the original network. That hour will also be broadcast on Facebook Live. That will be followed by a documentary focused entirely on Total Request Live, then back-to-back MTV Unplugged performances from Bob Dylan, Nirvana, Alice in Chains and more.

MTV also said the new network will devote time to traditional music videos -- likely at 4 a.m., just like the original did.
