People couldn’t read Flynn's redacted memos, so they made memes instead

If you can't read it, meme it.

Are you good at reading between the lines? If not, you might want to steer clear of Robert Mueller's memos.

On Tuesday night, the Special Counsel filed a sentencing memo recommending that Michael Flynn only serve "0 to 6 months" for providing “particularly valuable" information on several ongoing investigations.

The only problem was that massive chunks of the memos were redacted, so no one has any idea what sort of assistance Flynn actually provided.

Though the redacted memos don't provide much information, they do create a striking visual of white paper mostly covered with black bars. And once people realized they couldn't make very much sense of them without the omitted portions, they decided to meme the memos instead.

Below are some of the greatest redacted memo memes Twitter has to offer. We hope you ◼️◼️◼️◼️◼️ them.

Mark Hamill even got in on the fun, tweeting his own personal confession, which he then redacted, of course.

And the memo reminded Dan Fogelman, This Is Us writer and producer, of the level of secrecy that was required to protect the script for the Super Bowl episode of the show, in which the beloved character Jack Pearson died.

While we'll have to wait to learn what's behind the black bars, some believe it might have something to do with "President Donald J. Trump."

Just a guess, though. Who knows!
