This mum's well-meaning WhatsApp fail may be the greatest of all time

Outstanding.

When you're getting to grips with new technology or testing out a freshly downloaded app, mistakes can happen.

No one knows this better than anyone who's ever received a bungled attempt at communication from a parent or a grandparent.

And if there's one thing communities such as r/oldpeoplefacebook have taught us, it's that these glorious moments need to be documented and shared for all to enjoy.

On Wednesday, Twitter user @conrad1798 posted the following, glorious screengrab of his mum's attempt to send him a WhatsApp message.

To be fair, she still managed to get the message across.

There was a happy ending, too -- it turned out Conrad did have his keys after all.
