A powerful earthquake struck the city of Bagan in central Myanmar on Wednesday. The earthquake registered a 6.8 on the Richter Scale and killed at least three people.
Bagan is famous for its historic Buddhist temples and ancient history. The quadk damanged roughly 200 temples, most of which were built between the 10th and 14th centuries.

The images below show the aftermath of the earthquake and the damages to the structures. Residents began cleaning the rubble and debris yesterday and will begin repairs to the temples.
