Narendra Modi's 95-year-old mother visits his official residence for the first time
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared pictures of his 95-year-old mother's first visit to his official residence in New Delhi since taking charge in 2014.
The pictures showed Modi escorting his wheelchair-bound mother Heeraben in the gardens surrounding his home, and giving her a glass to drink from. He tweeted that he spent "quality time with her after a long time".

The nonagenarian Heeraben Modi lives in her ancestral home in the town of Vadnagar, in Modi's home state Gujrarat. Last year, Modi had tearfully spoken about his mother's role in his life at a Facebook townhall session with Mark Zuckerberg at the company's California headquarters. "When I was young, to raise us she worked in neighbours' homes cleaning dishes, filling water." he said. "A mother never cares what you become. She cares who you become."
