Sir David Attenborough is a renowned documentarian and the golden voice behind such works as Planet Earth and The Blue Planet.

Attenborough, who has a prolific career producing stunning, larger-than-life nature documentaries, is taking on a new project -- Attenborough's Adventures.

Attenborough voices his younger self in the new CBeebies Storytime interactive series inspired by his real-life adventures making natural history documentaries. Children can read along with the episodes and help the characters find animals via the Storytime app.

Each episode retells one of Attenborough's expeditions, like "David and the Gorilla Quest," which recounts his expedition to Rwanda in which he encountered mountain gorillas and a baby gorilla sat on his lap.

Attenborough's Adventures is bringing a whole new generation of humans into the fold of nature documentary fanaticism and we approve. Also, David Attenborough as a cartoon is adorable.
