There is nothing more magical than the NBA Finals — especially when you're watching greatness in the form of two-time MVP Nikola Jokic. The "Big Honey" and the Denver Nuggets competed in a memorable Game 5 against Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat and were able to clinch its first championship in franchise history.

It's always a rare treat to see a franchise win their first chip, and Denver fans across the world will never forget this moment. Neither will the internet, as viewers on Twitter showed out their best memes during Game 5.

First half: Hot hot Heat

The Nuggets got out to an early lead that was cut out almost immediately by the Heat. Jokic and the Nuggets would spend the rest of the half playing catch up and NBA Twitter made sure to point out just how bad the three-point shooting was by the team. The Nuggets would shoot 1-15 from the 3-point line to end the first half.

Second half: Butler lights up

Things started to heat up in the second half (pun not intended). The Nuggets made a complete comeback thanks to their unsuspected ability to finally shoot threes. Jimmy Butler who didn't really appear much in the first half, started to light up the court, including a questionable call that allowed him three shots at the free-throw line.

The Nuggets' Kentavious Caldwell-Pope would grab a crucial steal with 24.6 seconds left in the fourth quarter which would lead to him hitting two clutch free throws to take a 3-point lead.

Congratulations to the Denver Nuggets

Game 5 of the NBA Finals proved to be an absolute dogfight as Jokic and the Nuggets lift their first NBA Championship. We don't blame anyone that has to go and grab a cigarette after watching this game. After the buzzer hit 0.0, homers, Heat fans, and bandwagoners alike made sure to let their voices (and memes) be heard.
