UPDATE: June 29, 2018, 2:01 p.m. EDT Walmart now has NES Classics in stock and the article now reflects that.

The NES Classic Edition is back from the dead.

A handful of major retailers have NES Classics back in stock starting Friday, over a year after Nintendo's throwback console was discontinued in April 2017. The console, which contains 30 games from the Nintendo Entertainment System like Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Pac Man, and Mega Man 2, is being sold for prices ranging from $60 to $100.

Retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, and Walmart are peddling NES Classics again after Nintendo announced the console's return in May.

Right now, the best deals for the NES Classic are over at Walmart, Best Buy and GameStop, which both the consoles available for $60 a pop.

Meanwhile eBay and Amazon are both pricing the consoles above Nintendo's suggested retail price, with eBay's listings at $90 and Amazon's at $100 for some reason. Hopefully those prices will drop down later.

We will see if Nintendo has learned its lesson from when it first launched the NES Classic in extremely short supply, forcing would-be buyers to get consoles from resellers for jacked-up prices. After several months of failing to meet fans' demands for the console, Nintendo discontinued it without showing any intention of bringing it back.

The SNES Classic console that followed soon after didn't seem to cause quite the same tizzy, thankfully, so perhaps Nintendo will be a bit better prepared this time around.

Fingers crossed.
