Marvel's The Punisher and Jessica Jones are getting axed.

Don’t freak out, Jessica Jones fans — the third season of the show will still be streamed. But the relationship between Netflix and Marvel looks like it’s over. The two struck a deal in 2013 that involved four series based on Marvel characters, as well as The Defenders.

Confirming that The Punisher "will not return for a third season," Netflix nodded to showrunner Steve Lightfoot and the crew in a statement to Deadline. "We are proud to showcase their work on Netflix for years to come."

The streaming giant also confirmed that Season 3 of Jessica Jones will be its last, and thanked showrunner Melissa Rosenberg and the cast.

"We are grateful to Marvel for five years of our fruitful partnership and thank the passionate fans who have followed these series from the beginning," the statement said.

The Punisher star Jon Bernthal said goodbye to fans on Instagram Monday.

"Go hard. Be safe," he said.

Jessica Jones star Krysten Ritter also offered up a fond farewell to the show on Instagram, posting images from the final table read with her co-stars.

"I love these people to the moon and back," she captioned the post. "It has been a dream to play Jessica alongside my amazing cast and the best crew in the business for these past 5 years. I am so grateful for every second of it."

Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and Daredevil were all canceled last year. As Disney develops its own streaming service, it's gradually cutting ties with Netflix. Deadline calls the end of The Punisher and Jessica Jones "no surprise."

UPDATE: Feb. 19, 2019, 11:45 a.m. AEDT Added Krysten Ritter's Instagram post.
