Neil Patrick Harris looks creepy as Count Olaf in Netflix's 'A Series of Unfortunate Events'

LOS ANGELES -- Neil Patrick Harris, is that you?

On Thursday, Netflix unveiled the first look at the Emmy and Tony Award winner as Count Olaf in Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events.

The show is an adaptation of a series of books penned by Lemony Snicket (aka Daniel Handler).

It follows the Baudelaire orphans -- Violet, Klaus, and Sunny -- and their evil guardian, Count Olaf, who stops at nothing to get their inheritance. The siblings have to outsmart Olaf to discover clues to their parents’ mysterious death. 

And Count Olaf is scary.

Even Olaf knows it: "You haven't the faintest idea," he says in the trailer.

Patrick Harris stars in the eight-episode series alongside Patrick Warburton (Snicket), Joan Cusack  (Justice Strauss), Malina Weissman (Violet Baudelaire) and Louis Hynes (Klaus Baudelaire).

The show is executive produced by Emmy Award winner Barry Sonnenfeld and Daniel Handler.

It debuts on the platform on Jan. 13, 2017 (aka Friday the 13th).
