Everything coming to Netflix in May 2021

It's almost May, and you know what that means: a whole new slate of content is coming to Netflix.

Among the new original movies coming to the streaming giant are zombie heist movie Army of the Dead and psychological thriller The Woman in the Window. Several beloved films will also be joining Netflix's library, including all three Back to the Future movies and Notting Hill.

On the television side, Netflix is offering plenty new shows to binge, like superhero drama Jupiter's Legacy, true crime docuseries The Sons of Sam: A Descent into Darkness, and sitcom The Upshaws. May also marks the return of several Netflix originals, such as Castlevania, Lucifer, and The Kominsky Method.

There's still a lot more to look out for. Here's everything coming to Netflix in May 2021.

Top Pick: Army of the Dead

Army of the Dead marks Zack Snyder's return to the zombie genre after his 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead. The premise is simple: a group of mercenaries, led by war hero turned fry cook Scott (Dave Bautista), attempt to pull off a massive heist on a Las Vegas casino. The catch? Las Vegas just so happens to be overrun by zombies. As if the undead aren't already enough, the government is planning to drop a nuclear bomb on the city to neutralize the zombies once and for all. The pressure is on and the stakes are very, very high.

Aside from the heist element, Army of the Dead looks like it will put an exciting twist on the stars of any zombie movie: the zombies themselves. These zombies are faster and more evolved than your average walking dead. They're even organized and led by an Alpha. Based on the trailer, Snyder also seems to be having fun with the fact that the zombies come from Las Vegas: an undead Elvis impersonator makes an appearance, as well as a very memorable zombie tiger. With even more tricks up its sleeve, Army of the Dead looks like it's going to be a wild ride, and we're all in.

How to watch: Army of the Dead starts streaming May 21 on Netflix.
