Lin-Manuel Miranda dropped an unheard 'Hamilton' track just when we needed it most
Lin-Manuel Miranda just wants to help.
On Thursday, the Hamilton creator dropped a never-before-heard song from his Tony Award-winning musical in an effort to calm fans amid the coronavirus outbreak. Notably, all Broadway productions have been stopped as a social distancing precaution and will not return until April 12. Numerous other Hamilton performances in the U.S., including dates in San Francisco and Los Angeles, have been canceled.
"Wish I could send you peace of mind via this app," Miranda said in a tweet, following other statements of concern for those affected by COVID-19 he had posted earlier in the day.

The cut track is a Hamilton and Washington duet that would have originally taken place before "The Reynolds Pamphlet" — where the company number "Hurricane" occurs.
