The official @NYTimes twitter account is still linking to news like nothing has happened.

UPDATE: Oct. 19, 2016, 10:22 a.m. BST The website is back up. It's not clear what caused the outage.

The New York Times website is down globally.

An error message on the home page and all the articles pages reads: "This site can’t be reached. www.nytimes.com’s server DNS address could not be found."
