The game of tennis has never really been political in the same way other sports like soccer or the Olympics has been.

Not that it concerns tennis star Nick Kyrgios, who sported an anti-Donald Trump shirt following a "Fast4" exhibition match in Sydney, where he had just won over Spaniard Rafael Nadal.

The shirt has an image of the U.S. president-elect on it, with superimposed devil horns. It also has a concise message at the bottom: "F**k Donald Trump."

When asked about his shirt, Kyrgios told reporters that "it's pretty self-explanatory really."

There were no video cameras present for the interview, however, and the tennis star went to the change rooms, emerging again in his Nike-sponsored shirt, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

The number 14 ranked men's singles player in the world, the Australian Kyrgios isn't known for his subtlety on and off the court.

We'll see if Trump responds to the shirt, as he did with Meryl Streep's speech following the Golden Globes, but it's interesting how these sentiments are flowing into arenas typically thought of as apolitical.
