The fact that screen legend Nicolas Cage has never played Dracula is a travesty, but it's a mistake that will soon be amended.

Cage plays the world's most iconic vampire in the upcoming horror-comedy Renfield, which also stars Nicholas Hoult, Awkwafina, and Ben Schwartz. People obtained exclusive images of Cage on set in New Orleans that show off his spiffy all-red Dracula ensemble, complete with pointy nails and flashy rings.

Being the internet sensation that he is, Cage's vampiric transformation immediately set Twitter ablaze. Some hailed it as perfection:

Others compared it to previous portrayals of Dracula, including Bela Lugosi and Christopher Lee.

Renfield isn't Cage's first foray into bloodsucking: That would be 1988's Vampire's Kiss.

There's a new hot vampire in town, and we support it.

Bring on Renfield.
