Pokémon-themed Switch is amazing, but the OG fat Pikachu shoutout makes it

Nintendo has a rich history of colorful consoles and handhelds, but the Nintendo Switch is the least colorful among them.

The Switch is primarily gray, with scarce color options for its detachable joy con controllers. One Reddit user took it took upon himself to eradicate this oversight, creating a colorful, Pokémon-themed Switch fit for the '90s.

Reddit user MajorMoron747 took a boring Nintendo Switch and modified it into what he calls the Game Boy Color Pikachu Edition -- a yellow, Pikachu-themed work of art.

MajorMoron didn't just paint the joy cons or the back of the Switch's screen -- he covered every possible inch of the Switch in yellow, including the analog sticks and the dock.

The back of the screen is a giant Pikachu face, there are pixel versions of Red and Pikachu from Pokémon Yellow Version, and the dock even features the original, extra-plump design of Pikachu from the original Pokémon card series.

Perhaps the best detail of all is the Game Boy Color logo on the bottom part of the Switch screen. Pokémon Yellow Version, which featured Pikachu as the cover star, came out in 1998 alongside a Pokémon-themed Game Boy Color.
