Seriously, would you wear these nose warmers?

It's called fashion sweetie, look it up.

It's that time of the year again when we force ourselves to dig out our coats, scarves, hats ... and nose warmers?

This ridiculous winter accessory by the Nose Warmer Company is essentially a knitted pouch made specifically to keep your nose nice and toasty. Surprisingly, this company also isn't the only one to create this kind of product either. Aunty Marty, an Etsy store that makes animal-themed nose warmers, has also been a part of this trend since 2008.

The Nose Warmer Company has recently been in the social media spotlight due to it's very odd-looking designs and utility. During an interview with BuzzFeed, Sally Steel-Jones, the owner of the company, defended the controversial warmer.

"It looks a bit silly, you say? So do Christmas jumpers and bobble hats, but plenty of people wear those," Steel-Jones said. "With enough cold-nosed people out there to create a demand for the warmers, one day it might be you looking silly walking around with your red, bare nose!"

To be fair, having a cold nose is something I personally deal with every time I leave the safety and warmth of my apartment during the winter. But, to what lengths would I go to protect my frosty nose? I can't say.

But, would you wear this?

At the very least, you can personalize the pouch's color or patter to suit your taste. There are also a variety of different materials such as fleece, wool, and faux fur that can be selected to allow your nose to be snuggled up in a fuzzy environment of your preference.

But if you're not a fan of things on your face, that's also understandable. No amount of intricate crocheting can remove the feeling of wearing a surgical mask.

It can be argued though that wrapping a scarf halfway around your face -- which I've personally done many times -- is the same thing. Granted, scarves are little more acceptable at this point in history.

But muffs for your nose? Maybe we need a little more time to warm up to the idea.

We just might not be ready for this next step in winter fashion, but you can't dismiss its utility. It serves a pretty unique purpose, but it really does look silly.

At the end of the day, you only got one nose. Treat it kindly.

If you're into actually buying one of these things, they're available on NoseWarmer.com and Etsy for about $15 depending on style and material.
