Are you tired of hearing about Black Friday yet? Then just imagine how we feel. We're not complaining (we love our jobs), but just pointing out that we review a lot of deals this time of year— some more notable than others. Well, speaking of notable, Amazon just dropped a fresh batch of savings on its line of Fire tablets, and you don't want to miss this one. As part of its pre-Black Friday sale, Amazon is selling tablets starting at just $39.99. Kids tablets start at a mere $54.99.

Amazon wants you to get your holiday and Black Friday shopping done as early as possible, so don't expect prices to go any lower. The sale includes Amazon's newest tablets like the Fire 10 Kids tablet and the Amazon Fire Max 11 tablet. Pair the latter with a Bluetooth keyboard and it can easily sub in for a Chromebook or laptop. If you haven't already taken advantage of the recent Kindle sale, these tablets can act as your new e-reader, too. Here are the best Fire Tablet deals available at Amazon:

Why we like it:

There's just something demoralizing about using your work laptop to watch Netflix or share memes with friends. So put down the work laptop of doom and pick up a tablet you can use recreationally. The Fire 7 tablet from Amazon always gets a discount for shopping events, and $39.99 matches its lowest-ever price. We've only seen this discount a couple of times previously. Given recent anxiety around inflation, it's wild that you can buy a new tablet for this price. Buy this in place of a Kindle and you'll save even more money.

Why we like it:

New for 2023, the Fire Max 11 is Amazon's most souped-up tablet to date. At first glance, you might even mistake it for an iPad. With 4GB of RAM and 64GB of memory, it's comparable to a good Chromebook. Because it has a big 11-inch screen, it's big enough to stand in for a laptop, but if you intend to use it that way, then we recommend upgrading to the Fire Max 11 Productivity Bundle, which lets you save on a stylus and keyboard case as well.

Best deals on Fire Kids tablets:

Why we like it:

If you don't feel quite right giving your kids an expensive Apple tablet, then Amazon makes the best kids tablets for the money. There are a few popular models to choose from, but we think the 2022-edition Fire HD 8 Kids Pro is the right choice for most families. This tablet was designed for kids from the ground up, with a durable protective case, multiple levels of parental controls, and a one-year subscription to Amazon Kids+. It also has a 13-hour battery life, so even if your kids forget to charge it at the end of the day (and they will), it should last long enough to give you a break.
