Build out your e-reader library with this Kobo gift card on sale
Save 15%: Kobo $50 e-gift cards are just $42.50 at GiftCards.com with the code HKOKOBO, saving you $7.50 off their list price. The deal is a part of Kobo's holiday sale, which runs from Nov. 1 to Nov. 7.
Kobo e-readers are basically the only e-ink readers that have truly disrupted the e-reader dominance of Amazon. At Mashable, they're the only option we recommend beyond Kindles and iPads.
While we love the near-seamless Libby integration you'll find on Kobo e-readers, sometimes a book is so good you simply have to own it. And as of Nov. 3, GiftCards.com is running a sale on $50 Kobo gift cards, taking $15% off their price with the code HKOKOBO. The deal brings the price down to $42.50, saving you $7.50 total.
Kobo gift cards can be used on any e-book or audiobook purchases through Kobo.com (or from the Kobo store directly from your e-reader), but aren't eligible toward "e-reader purchases, accessories, preorders, or subscription fees," according to an FAQ on Kobo's site. (A bummer for anyone who's been eyeing Kobo's native remote launching in early December). To redeem the gift card, you will need a Kobo account, but you should already have one if you own a Kobo e-reader.
Kobo offers two options for color e-readers (both of which are cheaper than the Kindle Colorsoft), so this deal might be especially interesting for anyone who enjoys color titles, like graphic novels or manga, or annotating their books with color.
This Kobo deal is part of GiftCards.com holiday sale running now through Nov. 7, so you'll want to grab it before then to take advantage of the discount.

That basically means she puts her hair through a lot, scrolls through a lot of dating apps, and rotates through a lot of different headphones. In addition to testing out and rounding up the best products, she also covers deals for Mashable, paying an especially obsessive amount of attention to Apple deals and prices. That knowledge comes in handy when she's covering shopping holidays like Prime Day and Black Friday, which she's now done for three years at Mashable.
