There must be something in the water out in Oakland, where A's fans keep making SportsCenter-worthy catches this MLB season.

In early April, we had the A's fan who caught a foul ball with one hand while coolly nursing his beer in the other. In mid-April, an A's ballboy leapt to snag a line-drive foul before it screamed into the stands -- earning himself props from across the web.

Now it's early May and we have another gem from Oakland -- this time with one ponytailed dude completing an excellent catch as his ponytailed friend makes a diving effort in vain. Behold.

So many good great things about this video. But here are the top three.

  1. They both have ponytails.

  2. The ponytailed dude who didn't catch the ball really put his body on the line there.

  3. The ponytailed dude who did make the catch celebrates appropriately, and hopefully gloated to his buddy for the whole BART ride back home to San Leandro.

What wonders do A's fans have in store for us next? Stay tuned -- more magic is surely coming.
