After an October Prime Day filled with less-than-thrilling Dyson deals, Walmart is quietly going Black Friday mode — with the best Dyson vacuum for most people, at least. As of Oct. 14, the Dyson V12 Detect Slim is on sale for $399.99 at Walmart (and Dyson's website), matching record-low pricing from Black Friday 2024. Last week, during Walmart's anti-Prime Big Deal Days sale, this same vacuum was $429.99. Hey, $30 is $30.
The V12 Detect Slim's $399.99 sale price looks even sweeter when plopped next to the $349.99 sale price seen on the Dyson V8. Everyone thinks of the V8 as the go-to budget Dyson vac, but I'd argue that such a title is more deserved by the V12 Detect Slim when that negligible extra $50 gets you 150 Air Watts of suction power versus the V8's 115 AW, and of course, the laser. Dyson's green laser lights up more than the path ahead, like the LED bulb on a Shark stick vacuum does. The laser also lights up all of the invisible dust, pet dander, kitty litter, and hair that have accumulate without you noticing.
