This is not a drill: The Prime Big Deal Days sales event is happening tomorrow, Oct. 10, and Wednesday, Oct. 11. This means a ton of tech goodies are already on sale at Amazon, not least among them from the brand's own product line (like Echos, Kindles, and more). Speaking of Kindles, we're seeing some not-to-miss, all time low pricing on models such as the 16 GB Kindle Scribe. But Amazon isn't the only place where you can score a discounted Kindle to level up your reading routine... and who said you have to get a new one at that?
As of Oct. 9, Woot! (Amazon's own daily deals site) is selling a refurbished 8 GB Kindle Oasis (Lockscreen Ad-Supported) for only $119.99, which is 52% off what you'd pay for the same device — but brand-new — at Amazon. For reference, the lowest a new 8 GB Oasis has sold for directly at Amazon is $164.99, meaning $119.99 is a legitimately wonderful deal. Yes, the one you'll be getting at Woot! is refurbished, but it functions just fine and will not disappoint. Plus, it should be noted that a refurbished 8 GB Kindle Oasis is selling for $209.99 at Amazon now (with an all-time low price of $159.99).
The Kindle Oasis has a Paperwhite display you will marvel at, page turn buttons (which is pretty unusual for a Kindle), and adjustable warm light so your eyes won't be strained while reading at night.
The Oasis is also IPX8-rated, meaning it can withstand being accidentally dropped in the tub or getting rained on.
