Ninja makes some of our favorite kitchen appliances, and Prime Day offers a great opportunity to snag a nice discount. With the holidays approaching, now is the perfect time to make kitchen upgrades that'll help make food prep easier and quicker. One of our favorite Ninja appliances is on sale today, and while it's definitely not an essential buy, it does produce an instant boost of joy.

As of Oct. 8, the Ninja Slushi is on sale for as low as $299 at Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and Ninja. That'll save you at least $50, depending on your preferred colorway. The Amazon deal has a slight leg up compared to the other retailers because Amazon is tossing in a free $14.01 Amazon credit after your item ships. The $299 sale price is the lowest we've ever spotted at Amazon, and it's made even better with the free Amazon credit.

If you're a Costco member, you can snag a larger Ninja Slushi with two free insulated cups for only $279, which is also a $50 discount compared to the Costco list price of $329.99.

The Ninja Slushi allows you to turn practically any drink into a frozen delight at home. No more midnight trips to the convenience store because you can have on-demand cola slushies on your countertop.

Mashable Senior Shopping Reporter Leah Stodart tested the Ninja Slushi and was left impressed by its versatility. "My first endeavor was frosé, following the exact recipe in the Ninja booklet: literally just rosé, juice, and a little bit of simple syrup. It was so easy, so quick, and so damn good — just like the overpriced ones at the bar."

The Ninja Slushi won't help bake the turkey this holiday season, but it can sure help with keeping guests hydrated with frozen treats. The Slushi comes with five preset settings, including slush, spiked slush, frappe, milkshake, and frozen juice, so there's something suitable for every gathering.

While it's on sale for a record-low price, snag the Ninja Slushi from the retailer of your choice. It could even make for the best Christmas gift of the year if you're feeling generous.
