There couldn't be a better excuse to upgrade your tech than Amazon's October Prime Day. There are deals across hundreds of brands and products, but the discounted Amazon Fire TV 40-inch 2-Series should catch your eye.

As of Oct. 8, this popular TV is at its lowest-ever price at Amazon, reduced down to $159.99. This is a 20% saving on the original list price of $199.99. This is an exclusive Prime Day price, so you'll need to have an Amazon Prime subscription to shop the deal. It's $14.99 a month to sign up, but you can always start with a 30-day free trial to see if it's worth it for you.

As with most Amazon devices, this TV has Alexa voice control built in. A top feature when you need to search through multiple streaming platforms for your favorite movie. It runs on Fire OS, so you'll have access to popular streaming apps like Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, and more. It also features two standard HDMI inputs and 1 ARC input, making it easy to connect gaming consoles or Blu-ray players, and supports Dolby Audio for even better sound quality.

This deal might not last, so if you want to upgrade your screen we'd recommend acting fast.
