With just two weeks until the first wave of Oculus Rift headsets arrive, many may be wondering: what will I play in VR?

Oculus announced that 30 games will be available for the headset on its March 28 launch, followed by a slew of other announced releases in the spring. There will then be a second wave of game releases when the hand-tracking Oculus Touch controllers are released later this summer.

The games on the list represent a range of experiences, and Oculus has even created a rating system to help break down how comfortable they'll be for first-time virtual reality users. Ratings range in three tiers: Comfortable, Intermediate and Intense.

The games range from some of things you'd expect from VR, like intense first-person experiences, to surprising things that work seamlessly, like third-person games and genres like tower defense to strategy games. Oculus Rift's very public development cycle means gameplay has evolved somewhat publicly, as people learn what is comfortable -- and fun -- in VR.

  • Albino Lullaby

Other Oculus games due out in spring include Crytek's climbing simulator The Climb, Insomniac Games' brooding third-person action game Edge of Nowhere, card battler Dragon Front and Ubisoft's Eagle Flight, where you take to the skies as a bird of prey.

The games also range in price from $9.99 to $59.99, similar to the skew we've seen in the Steam Store. Some are shorter experiences meant for replay, while others -- like time-bending adventure game Chronos -- offer 15-20 hours of story inside of VR.

The Oculus Rift ships for $599, though pre-orders have sold out into summer delivery.

Editor's note: A previous version of this story stated there would be 31 games available at launch. That number has been corrected to 30.
