There can't be many finer feelings in the world than excelling at what you love and beating every other person on the planet to claim gold on the world stage. There certainly isn't if some of the celebrations and expressions we've seen from the Rio Olympics are anything to go by.

From the track to the pool, via some very unique weightlifting dances, this year's Olympians have given as much to their victory laps as they have to their athletic performances. Here are some of the best from the Rio Olympics so far.

Usain Bolt's 100-meter glance

Usain Bolt was in the process of running the men's 100-meter semifinal, but he still gave the photographers a cheeky grin as he raced to the finish line with no one else in the shot.

This display of Russian happiness

Not all of the country's athletes were banned. Davit Chakvetadze destroyed the competition in men's 85 kg Greco-Roman wrestling, triumphing over Ukraine's Zhan Beleniuk, and he marked the occasion accordingly.

The Kiribati weightlifter's dance

Putting the central Pacific island nation on the world map, Kiribati's David Katoatau did an awesome little jig after his event. He didn't come close to winning, but the aim was to draw attention to climate change. Kazakhstan's Nijat Rahimov did a pretty good dance too.
