You know how you sometimes forget to put your phone in your pocket before you leave the house? Well, French fencer Enzo Lefort had the opposite problem during his Olympic match on Monday.

Lefort failed to take his phone out of his pocket before facing Germany's Peter Joppich, a faux pas that might have gone unnoticed had the device not fallen to the ground mid-bout.

Hope he has a protective case on that thing!

Lefort responsibly handed the phone over to his coach for the remainder of the match. He ended up losing to Joppich 15-13 -- and no, the loss wasn't phone-related.

Cool that fencing uniforms have pockets, though.
