CNN anchor is moved to tears by image of Syrian boy in the ambulance
The appalling image of a five-year-old Syrian child sitting in the back of an ambulance -- dazed, dusty and confused -- has been shared widely on social media and moved people across the world.
Video footage and pictures of Omran Daqneesh being loaded into the emergency vehicle during fighting in Aleppo were being used as a symbol of the suffering of children in the war-torn country.
The 'boy in the ambulance', as he's been called, is covered with dust and so shocked that he seems barely aware of the blood on his forehead.

Activists said that multiple airstrikes targeted the opposition-held neighborhood of al-Qaterji late Wednesday evening. Three people were reportedly killed and several others, including at least two children, were injured.
While narrating footage of the boy's rescue, CNN anchor Kate Bolduan struggled to contain her tears.
“What strikes me is, we shed tears, but there are no tears here," she said.
"He doesn’t cry once. That little boy is in total shock. He's stunned. Inside his home one moment, and the next, lost in the flurry and fury of war and chaos."
“At least three people were killed in the bombing in his neighborhood. This is Omran. He’s alive. We wanted you to know.”
