A newspaper ad in India has leaked the closely-guarded price of Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus' new flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 3, before its global launch event. The phone will be priced at Rs 27,999 ($416) in India and sold exclusively on Amazon India.

The advertisement also confirms the specifications of the OnePlus 3. The smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, and will have 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It also comes with an Optic AMOLED display and fast charging. It also had a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button, which claims to unlock the home screen in 0.2 seconds.

Interestingly, the advertisement mentions the OnePlus 3 will have a 8MP rear camera and a 16MP front camera, which is odd. We believe this is an error in the ad. Indian buyers will also get free services such as a year's subscription of local music streaming app Saavn Pro, double data for Idea subscribers and Rs 500 ($7.5) credit on Amazon's Kindle app.

OnePlus is also offering 12 months of "Accidental Damage Protection" with OnePlus Care. It seems to be a new service and is likely to be similar to Apple Care plans one can buy along with Apple's devices. Like last year, OnePlus is hosting a VR launch event for the OnePlus 3 is at 10:30 p.m. on June 14 in India and at 10 a.m. (PDT) on June 14 in the US.
