The OnePlus 6 might be coming in March
Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus made a huge splash with the release of the OnePlus 5T last month. In March, it may do it again.
An anonymous source told gadget blog Gizmochina that Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus will launch its newest flagship phone, the OnePlus 6, by the end of March 2018.
The source claims that the OnePlus will be powered with the Snapdragon 845 chipset, Qualcomm's latest and most powerful processor. The chip will likely be in every major flagship phone coming out next year, and is expected to deliver better battery life, graphics, photos, audio, and video recording than you've ever seen before.
Additionally, the report specifies that the phone might contain a fingerprint sensor -- right under the display. This means the OnePlus 6 can have a fingerprint sensor on the front (the sensor's location on the back of the OnePlus 5T is less than ideal) without downsizing the screen.
OnePlus did not respond to a request for comment.
If the rumor is true, the OnePlus 6 will come only four months after the company's release of the OnePlus 5T in November. The quick turnaround is not out of character: The company launched the OnePlus 5T just five months after launching its predecessor, the OnePlus 5.
OnePlus' philosophy has consistently been to roll out frequent models to keep up with the release of the newest components and features. So even if the OnePlus 6 is launched in March, it probably won't be the company's flagship for long. But, at least we can expect it to be packed with the latest technology upon its release.
