Oprah's Golden Globes speech has us all begging her to run for president

The best stump speech that was not a stump speech. Yet.

We knew Sunday's Golden Globes would be an emotional affair, but we didn't expect it to kick off Oprah's political career.

Now, to be fair, when Oprah Winfrey gave her extremely moving speech upon accepting the Cecil B. DeMille award, she didn't explicitly say that she would run for president in 2020. But as she imparted hope, wisdom, and the promise of a brighter future, that didn't stop many people from wishing she would.

Actually, scratch that. Many people just decided to believe that she's running and leaving it at that.

And who can blame them.

When I say that Oprah's fantastic speech left people clamoring for her to run for president, it's difficult to express just how much my TL gushed over this possibility.

Here's a taste.

The tweets went on and on, all expressing the dream of having someone in the Oval Office that understood the lost, disenfranchised, and under represented in America.

Though she didn't come quite out and say that she had political aspirations, a whole lot can be read in her final words.

Fingers crossed. And not just that we all survive until 2020.
