'CODA' wins Oscar for Best Picture
The 2022 Academy Award for Best Picture went to CODA.
Coda is a film about a deaf family, helmed by writer and director Sian Heder, who won Best Adapted Screenplay earlier in the night. The film makes Oscar history by largely starring Deaf actors, including Best Supporting Actor winner Troy Kotsur. These three wins mean CODA had a sweep, proving the victor in each of its nominated categories.
