With Messi, beloved canine star of Anatomy of a Fall, changing his mind to not attend the ceremony, the 96th Annual Academy Awards had more than a few big moments between wins — from nude presentations to shock snubs. Perhaps you missed the Oscars on Sunday night, choosing instead to snooze through it and catch up on all the winners and notable acceptance speeches at a more today-based time.

But that's what we're here for, the nerdos who bring you every moment, the ones your mates will be pulling a "I can't beeeeliiiieeeve that happened" on the group chat today. In terms of the gold, Oppenheimer scored seven awards including Best Picture, while Poor Things took home four awards, and Killers of the Flower Moon shockingly received none. You can see all the Oscar winners in one big list here.

But this is Hollywood, so there were more than a few moments between the awards that everyone's talking about, from Ryan Gosling absolutely obliterating the Oscars stage with a Barbie favourite to Jimmy Kimmel's Trump roast. Here's some of the major Oscars moments beyond the awards:

1. Celebs wearing red pins

Oscars attendees wore red pins in support of Palestine amid a ceasefire protest outside the Dolby Theatre. Here's Mashable's bigger explainer on the whole thing.

2. John Mulaney's Field of Dreams bit
