Everyone's still catching their breath after rubbernecking at that calamitous end to the 2017 Oscars.

In case you missed it (where have you been?) La La Land was at first announced as winner of Best Picture. But midway through the speeches, it turned out Moonlight was the actual recipient of the award, leading to one of the most awkward, but thrilling moments in the award show history.

Of course, the perennial jokesters at Australia's Queensland Police were quick to stick the boot in further.

As did the folks at the Wyoming Police Department in Montana.

While Americans have that infamous Steve Harvey error at Miss Universe to relive through timely jokes, Australians have their own version.

Australia's Next Top Model host Sarah Murdoch read the wrong winner in the final of reality show in 2010, and the whole country lost their damn minds.

Surely someone out there is working on some kind of technology to stop this from happening again and again. Maybe the folks at Miss Universe have a few pointers?

Tyra knows.
