Blizzard Entertainment is full of surprises.

Overwatch's upcoming map Oasis was released on the public test region Tuesday, a week before the map was expected to hit the PTR as promised at BlizzCon.

Oasis is the fourth control map in Overwatch and it's set in a futuristic city in the Middle East. Not only is this the first map to introduce jump pads to the game, but early testers found out that the environment can kill unsuspecting and clumsy players as well.

Here is a look at how the jump pad works on one of the three new objective areas within Oasis. Reinhardt will definitely be a popular pick on this map.

There are currently some issues for some players trying to log into the PTR, but people who got in quickly were able to grab some photos from all three new Oasis maps.

The map is currently only available for PC players who log in through the public test region (PTR) in their Battle.net client. There is no information about when the map will be integrated into the main game, although most Overwatch test features are available to everyone after one week.
