This is Orisa, a quadrupedal robot with an automatic projectile cannon for an arm, and she is the latest hero to join the Overwatch roster.

Revealed today, Orisa is a new, versatile tank hero playable on the public test region on PC now and coming soon to all platforms. She is an omnic modeled after OR-15 defensive bots and was built by Efi Oladele, an 11-year-old genius who has only recently popped up in the Overwatch universe. Orisa's self-professed primary function is "to keep you safe."

Orisa has a wide range of abilities as a tank, all of which are laid out on her hero page on the Overwatch website. You can check them all out below:

Orisa's abilities

Her right arm is a Fusion Driver that can shoot enemies with sustained fire at a pretty decent range.

Osira's unique ability Fortify strengthens her armor, reducing the amount of damage she takes and making her impervious to any action-impairing effects and debuffs.

The ability Halt! launches an orb that Osira can detonate. When it detonates, it slows nearby enemies, pulls them in and explodes.

Osira also has a Protective Barrier that she can place down on the ground in a stationary position to protect herself and her allies from enemy attacks.

Osira's ultimate is called Supercharger. The Supercharger is a stationary device that Osira can deploy which powers up allies within its line of sight, increasing the amount of damage they deal.

Along with Orisa's reveal, Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan went in-depth into Orisa's origin story and how she and her abilities fit into the Overwatch universe in a developer update video below.
