Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the Oscar-winning songwriters behind hits from La La Land and The Greatest Showman, will apparently be leaving their mark on the upcoming live-action Aladdin, directed by Guy Ritchie.

Pasek and Paul told Variety that they've worked on two new songs on the upcoming film with the help of original composer Alan Menken.

Pasek and Paul described geeking out over working with Menken and wanting to spend studio time hearing stories from the film and theater legend. Pasek said they were "thrilled to be part of the Disney family."

The live-action Aladdin, starring Mena Massoud, Will Smith, and Naomi Scott, is due in 2019.
