In the moments before a plane exploded in Dubai, passengers grabbed their luggage before they evacuated onto the tarmac, as seen in new footage from the scene.

It is unclear whether the passengers on Emirates Flight EK521 were aware of the extreme situation they were in as the cabin filled with smoke on Wednesday. The Boeing 777-300 was coming into land at Dubai Airport when it skidded across the runway on its belly and burst into flames.

Huge plumes of black smoke billowed from the aircraft. Miraculously, all the passengers and crew survived the crash. One firefighter died while battling the blaze.
