Paul McCartney is embracing virtual reality, too.

Sir Paul is stepping to the world of VR for Pure McCartney, a retrospective album out June 10 that revisits McCartney's post-Beatles career. He teamed up with Jaunt VR -- the team behind Ray LaMontagne's "Hey, No Pressure" video, among others -- to create video segments that serve as part music video, part private tour.

Unlike the often trippy and sometimes terrifying VR videos that came before it, these are based in reality, and are all filmed at his private home studio. Each clip gives background on how each song was made and includes never-before-seen footage.

They're part of a six part series, with videos for “My Valentine (Part 1),” “My Valentine (Part 2),” “Mull of Kintyre,” and “Early Days” set to roll out over the next few weeks.

Directed by Tony Kaye, the clips also include audio that has been digitally remastered in Dolby Atmos.

“It is an honour to be part of such a tremendously talented team of artists, tasked with documenting the thinking of this great man, in order to bring his fans a new means of experiencing some of his greatest songs,” Kaye said in a statement.“His musical genius is now on display for the world in an entirely new light.”
