'NCIS' star Pauley Perrette tweets she left the show after 'multiple physical assaults'
Just a few days after Abby Sciuto's final appearance in the May 8 episode of NCIS, Pauley Perrette, the actor who plays her, went public on Sunday with unsettling allegations which she said led to her eventual exit.
"I've been supporting [anti]-bullying programs forever. But now I KNOW because it was ME! If it's school or work you're required to go to? It's horrifying," she wrote.
"I left. Multiple physical assaults. I REALLY get it now. Stay safe. Nothing is worth your safety. Tell someone."

A series of tweets Perrette posted late Saturday and early Sunday shed some more light. In one, she pointed to a "very rich, very powerful publicity 'machine'" responsible for spreading false stories and working to discredit her.

That's all Perrette has had to say on the matter so far. Her publicist, Steve Jaffe, confirmed to USA Today the tweets were Perrette's, but said she would have no additional comment.
