A short, grainy, shaky video of a man grooving to a popular song has gone viral on social media.

The man in question is former Pakistan President General Pervez Musharaf, who's seen dancing to Dilliwali Girlfriend — a song from the 2013 hit Bollywood film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

The clip, though undated, was posted on Twitter by a veteran Pakistani journalist. And has since been shared widely.

It has generated mixed responses.

While some thought that Musharaf, a retired four-star army general, should have avoided the jig and have criticized him severely, some others have appreciated the former President's zest for life calling him "young at heart".

Here are some reactions.

Interestingly, this clip has surfaced at a time when bi-lateral tensions between India and Pakistan have been simmering, with the former having imposed a blanket ban on cross-border artistes. Bollywood music, however, continues to cut across geo-political boundaries.

General Musharaf served as Pakistan's tenth president from 2001 until tendering resignation, to avoid impeachment, in 2008.
