You're going to be a dad, dude.

Pregnancy announcements have become just as much of a thing as extravagantly planned proposals.

We can't blame all those parents-to-be out there. The news that you are going to have a baby is a big deal, and it deserves to be shared in whichever way you see fit. But sometimes, the crafting of an elaborate announcement overshadows what is really important: the announcement itself.

Sometimes, the most touching way of sharing the news with your significant other is just to do it simply. The real treasure of the moment becomes your partner's reaction.

This is exactly what happened to Redditor Sikesmw, when his wife revealed that she was pregnant. The adorable moment was captured perfectly in a series of photo strips.

"I shared this because of the way I look in it because I'm sure every guy has this face when told but we never see it," Sikesmw shared in the comments of his post. "Can't wait to just be the best dad I can be."

He also described what was going through his mind in the photos.

"The middle strip [is] mostly me trying to work out what she's shoving in my face. And that last frame is me thinking, 'Oh shit I'm gonna be a dad.' Couldn't be happier."

Because this post gained so much traction and conversation on Reddit, Sikesmw also shared another photo of how he proposed to his wife. It's clear that photo booths are a thing in this loving relationship.

Such a simple but perfect way to capture life's most precious moments.

Mashable has reached out to Sikesmw for comment and will update this story when we hear back.
