Pikachu, who hurt you?

Pika got bangs. Is he OK?

We regret to inform you that our beloved Pikachu went out and got impulse bangs.

Pikachu's new look was debuted in a trailer for Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! Features include customizing Pikachu and Eevee with different hairstyles. Of all the scenes in the trailer, one just makes you want to shake your head and mourn for Pikachu's hair.

Just look at what the poor Pokémon went and did!

Everyone knows that you don't get bangs unless you're going through a rough patch. Nobody chooses to hack off the front half of their hair if they're doing OK. Giving yourself bangs is the kind of thing you do after a 4 a.m. crying jag, when nothing else in the world makes sense aside from covering your forehead with some manic pixie dream girl fringe.

Which is why we're asking: Pikachu, are you OK? Girl, who hurt you?

To invoke the wise words of @alliewach, "if u want bangs u should go to therapy first."

You give yourself bangs when you're experiencing only the deepest inner turmoil. Impulse bangs are reserved for exactly six days after a breakup, when you're feeling vindictive and need to drastically change yourself.

Does Pikachu even know how LONG it's going to take for those bangs to grow out? Pikachu, you've doomed yourself to a year of keeping hair pins in every pocket and forever sweeping your side bangs out of your face!

Who hurt Pikachu? If you have any information, please come forward. Until then, please support Pika in his journey to find himself as he navigates what's clearly a difficult time in his life.
