A Boeing 727 made an emergency landing at Guam's international airport on Friday — without its nose landing gear deployed.

The Asia Pacific Airlines cargo plane was on a training flight at A.B. Won Pat International Airport when the control tower was alerted of a situation that “may affect safe landing," the Pacific Daily News reported.

There were three crew members on the flight, and none of them suffered any injuries, according to airport spokeswoman Rolenda Faasuamalie. Emergency crews met the flight on the runway.

Chuck Ada, the airport's executive manager, praised the skill of the pilot in landing the aircraft without touching the nose to the ground early on approach, according to Kuam News.

Some other flights were delayed by a few minutes, according to Faasuamalie, but airport operations were mostly unaffected.
