PlayStation Vue expands to Roku and Android
PlayStation Vue, Sony's cable alternative for cord-cutting TV junkies, is adding support for two new platforms.
Starting on Tuesday, the live TV streaming service is officially available on Roku devices. And next week, support will be added for Android smartphones and tablets.
For those that might be unfamiliar with Vue, it's essentially cable TV without the cable subscription. There are multiple pricing tiers with different channel offerings, DVR, an extensive channel guide... the works.

Channel availability varies by location, but Vue has all four major broadcast networks and most of the top basic/premium cable channels. The big advantage of the service is getting all of that content with no contract; you pay a monthly subscription, but can cancel whenever you like.
In addition to Roku and Android, Vue is also available through PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 consoles, as well as Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Stick and iPhone/iPad. Given that this is a streaming service, an internet connection is also required.
Pricing packages start at $29.99 per month, though that varies depending on where you live. It easy enough to check out the different plans at psvue.com.
