A full 103-card set of first edition Pokémon cards sold for $107,000 at auction on Saturday, an amount of money that could have gotten you around 35,000 packs of cards back when they first hit the U.S. in the late '90s.

The auction, sold through Goldin Auctions, started bids at $25,000 and shot up to more than four times that amount in just a dozen bids. TMZ first reported on the auction Monday.

You can peruse through the full collection on Goldin Auctions' website, which includes an incredibly rare and valuable first edition Charizard, which you can tell comes from the first printing because of the shadowless border around the Pokémon's portrait.

The set also includes all of the item, energy, and trainer cards that most people don't care about at all. But hey, it's not a full set without them.

If the $107,000 price tag sounds wild, that's because this isn't just a regular full set of first edition Pokémon cards. All 103 cards in this set have a perfect gem mint 10 rating from the Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA), the leading authority on collector card quality.

What this means is that there are no perceptible faults in any of the cards. No scratches, no discoloration, no bend marks, no fraying, nothing.

Chances are, almost none of the cards you have in your possession meet the PSA's incredibly high standards and wouldn't fetch nearly as much money as this full set did. But don't fret -- if you have some rare cards in your possession, you still have a chance of making some decent cash off your old collection.
